For the Birds

It's time for a photo challenge at Addicted to Stamps and More!
It's a beautiful photo, but I was absolutely stumped this week!  Does that ever happen to you?  I hate it when I get a creative block! I decided to go with the colors and use pink and brown. I also threw in a little birdie stamp for good measure. :)  I used the sketch at retro sketches to give me a little additional help.
This was a fun sketch, but for my card it just looked off in the center, so I moved the rectangles to the right of my card.
The rectangles are sponged with Pink Pirouette and Crumb Cake ink. I then spritzed some water over it, dried it with my heat tool and stamped the birdie image. The top panel is adhere just with a tape adhesive, the middle panel has on layer of Dimensionals and the bottom panel has to layers thick of dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed my card. Make sure to stop by the ATSM blog for tons more inspiration!

  1. So soft and lovely Shana - I really like the colors you used. I do like the rectangles more on the outer edge instead of the middle. Beautiful!!

  2. This often happens to me but you sure got out of your block in style! These panels are fabulous, I love the spritz look and such a cute image resting at the bottom. This would be great for our challenge at TIME OUT this week, would be great if you could join us x

  3. This is adorable! Love that image :)

  4. Fabulous inkking and sponging on your panels, Shana! What lovely effect. Beautiful card x

  5. Nice Shana!! I love the sponging and the Spritz! Great Idea!

  6. Hi Shana. Love your sponged panels and the little birdie is super cute. Have a fab day! hugs Monika xxx

  7. I really like your variation on the sketch and your coloured tiles look like marble; they're lovely.
